Frequently asked questions
Everything parents, students and teachers usually ask before they start.
Does StudyRevise really work offline?
Yes. Download a subject once over Wi-Fi (or any connection), and every note, question and flashcard in it works with no data at all. Your scores and progress are saved on the phone and sync automatically the next time you go online — nothing is lost.
Which exams and regions do you cover?
Ghana: Primary through JHS to BECE, and SHS to WASSCE (WAEC). Nigeria: Primary through JSS to BECE, and SSS to WASSCE and NECO SSCE. International: Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE and AS & A Level. One account works across all of them.
How is the content aligned to the syllabus?
Every note and question is tagged to a specific point in the official syllabus — NaCCA Common Core and SHS curricula in Ghana, NERDC and WAEC/NECO syllabuses in Nigeria, and the published Cambridge syllabus codes (e.g. IGCSE 0452). When you practise a topic, you are practising exactly what the examiners are told to test.
Are the practice questions like the real exam?
Mock exams follow the official paper structure — the same sections, timing, question styles and mark allocations as the real BECE, WASSCE, NECO or Cambridge papers — and structured questions come with point-by-point mark schemes, just like the marking guides examiners use.
How does AI marking work?
For written answers, the app compares your response to the official-style mark scheme and awards marks point by point, then shows a model answer and tells you exactly which marks you missed and why. It works for theory questions, essays and structured answers.
How can I monitor my child’s progress as a parent?
Link your phone number to your child’s account and you’ll receive a simple weekly report by WhatsApp or SMS — time studied, strongest subjects and the topics that need attention. There is also a parent dashboard if you prefer to check in yourself. You do not need to install anything.
Can my school use StudyRevise for a whole class?
Yes. A School Licence covers a block of learner seats managed by your school. Teachers create classes with a join code, assign classwork and mock assessments in one click, and see whole-class mastery in a single view. Contact us through the app or sign in to set one up.
How much does it cost, and how do I pay?
There is a genuinely useful Free plan. Paid options are short, affordable top-ups — a 1-Week Pass, a Termly plan, and a yearly School Licence — payable by Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo Money) or card. See the Pricing page, or sign in for current prices in your region.
How much data does the app use?
Very little. Content is text-first and compressed; a full subject is typically a few megabytes — comparable to a short video. After you download a subject, studying uses no data at all, and progress sync uses only a few kilobytes.
Can two children share one phone?
Yes. Each child signs in to their own account on the shared phone, and their downloads, streaks and progress are kept separate. A parent or school can pay once and assign seats to each child.
What devices does it work on?
Any phone, tablet or computer with a modern browser — including low-cost Android phones. StudyRevise is a progressive web app, so there is no large download from an app store, and it keeps working offline once a subject is saved.
Is my data safe?
We store only what the service needs — your name, phone or email, and your learning progress. We never sell personal data, and parent report messages go only to the number the account holder links. You can ask for your account and data to be deleted at any time.
